Our Story

Welcome to Treaty Candles & Wax! My name is Caroline, and this little business has been a dream of mine for a long time. After years of teaching myself the art of candle making, I officially opened my doors in January 2025.

The name came naturally. I’m a proud Limerick woman, and since our city is known as the “Treaty City,” Treaty Candles & Wax felt like the most fitting name.

All of my candles and wax melts are hand-poured with a carefully chosen blend of soy and coconut wax. This wax is eco-friendly and safe for people with respiratory sensitivities, which is something very close to my heart. I take great care in every single pour so that when you light one of my candles, you enjoy a clean, long-lasting, and beautiful burn.

I also make it a priority to purchase my wax and fragrance oils from Irish businesses whenever possible. For me, it’s about more than just candles — it’s about creating something meaningful, sustainable, and supportive of our local community. Each piece is made with love, and I hope it brings warmth and joy into your home.
